How to stop my braces hurting?

I got my bottom brace on yesterday & it hurts like hell! I've tried ibuprofen but it doesn't do anything. Is there any other ways to stop it hurting? My top brace didn't hurt this much when I first got that, but now I have the bottom one, it kills! By the way I am 15. Help?
