Will my braces come off today?

ok so ihave a dentist appointment at 12 today . ihave braces and ihave some questions . ive have them for about a year and today idont know if their gonna come off or not . my ortho said iwould be getting them off when icome back which would be today . but my question is will they come off w out me having my retainer ? isuppose to take a mold for them today . what will exactly happen today at my appt ? my teeth are straight and im ready for them to come off ! iknow after today iwill have to come back in two weeks so will they come off now or when icome back . ihope today because thats what my ortho told me .
