Help!! Am i pregnant?

Im so scared...i had sex on friday morning im pretty sure we used a condom but after when i peed it hurt so i looked it up and people say its normal after rough sex. Then i took 8 triple cs with my friends and i was dizzy and sick for about 3 days. I get my period usually early in the month around the 6th or 7th...2 days ago i had cramps like i was getting my period and today blood came out but im pretty sure its not my period its not the normal time so i looked it up and it said thats a sign of pregnancy and so id dizziness but i thought that wa just from the triple cs...so im confused and freaking out. Im soo scared..is my period just comming early? Could this also be from stress cause i got braces yesterday and was really stresaing out about how they looked. Is there anyother cause for this besides being pregnant please please please help!

They took my impressions today and i made an appointment for tuesday to fit my retainer, the one thing that worried me, is what will happen over the days until my retainer is fitted? Why are there plastic blocks behind my two front teeth whilst i have braces and what do i do?

ive had top braces for nine month, and have just had bottom ones put on and have been given elastic bands as i am near the end of my treatment. but whilst having the bottom braces put on the orthodontist put two blocks behind my front teeth without telling me why. these blocks make sure only two of my teeth come together meaning i cannot chew my food up no matter how hard i try! what to i do? do i ask them to take them off as i cant eat? im near the end of my treatment so i want my teeth to be perfect and dont want to stop now but i have no idea what the blocks are for! please help me out!

What to do with the pokey wire on my braces?

I went to the ortho yesterday and a wire is poking me. Badly. If you have braces, I'm sure you know what wire I'm talking about - the one in the back that sometimes sticks out and pokes the back of your cheek. I will be out of town for the next week, we are leaving town tomorrow at 5 in the morning, which is before my ortho's office opens. I have wax, but it never stays on for more than 2 minutes, it doesnt really help anyway, and I am almost out already. I've tried bending the wire but that does not help. I can't use nail clippers because I am not superhuman and cannot fit them into my mouth at the right angle to snip the wire. I don't know what to do. It hurts SUPER bad, and my cheek is all scratched up. Oh, and also, when I go to the orthodontics and they use the wire cutters in the back of my mouth, I am REALLY REALLY SUPER paranoid they will cut my skin with the wire(because you can feel the wire cutters touching your cheek as they are cutting the wire). I told the lady that works at my orthodontics office and she said that I was being "silly", and that would neverrrr happen. Lo and behold, in the next minute or two, she snipped my skin with the wire cutters, as she had promised me would NOT happen. It hurt SOO FREAKIN BAD. I yelped and told her that she cut me, and she didn't believe me, even though I was BLEEDING FROM IT. I am super scared this will happen again, and every time someone is about to cut a wire on my braces, I start to freak out and I fight the urge to cry(I know, what a wuss). I get this weird tingly feeling all over my body when I feel my skin make contact with the metal wire cutters, like I am about to pass out. How do I calm myself down when they use the wire cutters on me?

Retainer Issue MAJOR! HELP!?

Ok so I havent worn my bottom retainer in AGES! I still have braces for my top teeth. A while ago I looked in the mirror and lord behold my tooth had shifted back noticably. I was horrified. I'm 30 and having been through depression and OCD and anxiety since I was about 14 I've now decided that there is only one thing that would solve all my issues. Turning the clock back. The 'best' period of my life was between about the ages of 21 and 24. I was at uni, had a social group and my favourite thing was going to the pub on the weekend with that group. All my OCD and problems were at a minimum during this time. Then I had one of my episodes which caused me to isolate myself for along time and so lose touch with my social group. Six years on and I have done everything possible to pick myself off the ground and make a life for myself. I have made a couple of friends, I have had a couple of boyfriends, I have got into a rigorous excersise routine, i have changed jobs and locations, I have went travelling for gods sake. I have persevered with all of these things for 6 years waiting for the joy to come back but you know what? It hasnt. I dont care about any of them. I am a vacant emotionless robot when I am sitting in a social situation. i am brilliant at faking a smile and holding a conversation but there is nothing in my heart. All the photos of me in interesting parts of the world are of a girl smiling on the surface but who doesnt give a damn whether she is standing infront of the great wall of china or the local shopping arcade. Every thing I do has the sole purpose of passing time. I'm not trying to get to anything in particular cos I never look forward to anything. I just want time to pass. This is not like depression I've had in the past - I have energy to go to they gym, I can fall asleep easily, I can go to work every day, i never cry or feel despair. But the only spark of proper human emotion which I feel is when I recollect the memories of getting ready to go out and walking to the pub and meeting my social group and being with them and the fun times we had. For six years I have been consiously waiting for the moment that I feel that stirring of feelings in my heart again so I think its safe to say its not going to. The only thing I want in this whole world is to turn the clock back . I would have assumed trying all the things I have should maybe have triggered other aspirations but they havnt, not even a little bit - I only want that clock to go back. As far as I can see you need to have feelings to be any use to other people in this world and as the only thing that would get my heart back to being able to feel again is an absolute impossibilty so I am no use to anyone. I've just read this back and I realise my matter of fact tone wont evoke sympathy - I understand that - it just comes from my lack of emotion. I have two top front buck teeth. I hate it because they make my upper lip and area stick out. Looks a bit goofy. Am I just crazy? What the heck is wrong with me?!?

I love music. It's part of who I am. Because of that Ive been working on songs with a band. I've been pushing myself very hard to write some great stuff. Because of this I've been missing sleep and working diligently. However, it has put a great deal of stress on me and so today I woke up rather stressed and in a bit of a funky mood. Question about hinged elbow braces?

I broke my left elbow a long time ago, and now it hurts all the time, which is expected. It also hyper-extends very badly (bows out) and I think this is what makes it sore all the time. Went to the Orthopedic about it, nothing they can do. I've tried elbow braces, just the kind you get at Wal-Mart. I've never had a girlfriend and I am 19 years old. I used to be very shy and even though I've had a good amount of women attracted to me, because of social issues I never asked any one of them out. I have had my braces on for 1 year and 7 months and I really want them off. They said I can't get them off until November, but I would LOVE to be able to get them off before then. This is a form of cowardice but also a sign of being somewhat dead already,lifeless, without energy,without hope. Can my anxiety be causing me to feel this way?

I feel kinda sick inside. I am pretty anxious because my last day of school is tomorrow,My mom is coming home from being away in california for 4 days, Then next week, I have to go to new york and I'm BEYOND scared! i twisted it backwards and fell on my ankle while working and it hurts to walk on it, but its not excrutiatingly painful, i walked all the way home on it ( 1 Mile), and i can turn my ankle every way like I normally can, and without pain. I know your pain. I had braces for 2 years. Your teeth with be sore for a couple days and at the most a week. The most you can do for the pain is getting soft foods like noodles or liquids. If bread hurts than you should stick to liquids for a couple days. Try swishing with warm salt water, if you have an wounds created by the next brackets/bands it will help and the warmth will relax your mouth a bit. Taking extra strength excedrin always helped me.

Swollen Gums with Braces?

I've had braces for several months now and noticed that my gums have gotten really swollen. I went to the dentist's office and they just said to brush better. Well, it's been a few weeks now and I've been using Crest Pro Health Mouthwash and toothpaste, yet the swelling has not decreased by any noticeable amount. They don't bleed when I brush, they seem normal other than the fact that they're a really bright pink and "squishy". My dentist didn't act as if it was something incredibly serious, they just said to brush better. I've been brushing three times a day, using warm salt water rinses and all of that, but to no avail. I just want to get rid of this! It's gross and I don't like it at all!

Maybe the braces are making your cheeks look bigger?? There is no way to reduce the fat in your face without losing overall body fat. Drink lots of water, exercise more and eat less fatty foods.

The deep azure marble flooring sparkling as I walk into the small tightly nit room. The chandelier adorned with thousands of chrystals so expertly placed. To the left of me , awell-dressed and casually coifed young lady perilously perched on the edge of a soft red regal and velvet chair. Half of her body ,moulded into the shape of the chair , the othe half perched on the edge in her own world. She looked like an out of work Victorian street model. Wow! Then a second glance , I am drawn to the pillar-box red leather shoes with the killer stalito heels attatched , the blue denim skirt and her vibrant coloured stockings that address the eye. My eyes are aching just looking at her clothing. Lifting my head apprehensively and oh my gosh! To my amazement there before me is a crumpled up face like a piece of paper that has been screwed up one thousand times , or a old school shirt , not ironed for days on endd. Observing closer and deeper into her face my telescopic eyes are drawn to the putrid yellow ooze that is pouring out of the strange red lumps on her face like a river. The sick contorted taste of bile arising in my mouth as I LOOK AT THE OUTER LAYERS OF HER Skin pealing off like a termally ill leper. Looking up at the ceiling I am attempting to get her abominate face – a volcano of a face that is out of my mind.A pulchritudinous contrast thankfully evokes as the sweet combination of jasmine , mint , vanilla , rose , a whole rainbow of of scents. The seductive roomspray that covers up the demon face over in the left hand corner is getting closer and intoxicating me. The smell is running up my nostrils burying it’s compelling sent deep within my nazel passages. what grade i want A*??

Am I becoming addicted?

I recently had rather extensive oral surgery. A sinus cyst removed, 2 torus removed and about 25 stiches left in place. So needless to say I was in quite a bit of pain. Now the question comes to my mind since I have such a addictive personality, the surgeon had put me on percocet for pain control, I am currently taking about 1/2 to 1 pill a day to control the pain. Can I become addicted in such a short period of time. I have been on them for about a week now. I dont take them every 4 hrs but just when there is breakthru pain. Problem is I am becoming very comfortable with the way they make me feel and I could see taking them a lot more.

I have worked with one of the state of Texas' leading authorities in sports medicine. He literally wrote the book on practice and procedure in the sports medicine area. His name is Dr S. Brent Brotzman. In the mean time you may want to use the tape and braces even if you feel they are not helping. They probably are and you just don't know it yet. Okay, first of all, don't answer this question if you're not going to give me a helpful, relevant answer. That means don't say things about quitting smoking, the risks, the disadvantages, disapproval of me smoking, or anything that won't give me the information I'm looking for. Now that that's out of the way, it would be helpful to know that I only smoke outdoors with friends, and that I smoke about 10 cigarettes tops once in a while (don't bother saying anything about how I will smoke more cigarettes over time or anything about the addictive disadvantages). This is really the only time I really smell like cigarette smoke all over my clothes, hair, and breath. Since I'm trying to hide the fact that I'm smoking from my parents, I would like to know the best way to get rid of the cigarette smoke smells from these areas. A specific way for each area (clothes, hair, breath) is much appreciated. It is also preferred that I could hide the smells from these areas before I get home, so basically at a friend's house or outside. It is also accepted if you can tell me how I can quickly get rid of these smells as soon as I get home. Going to the doctor to ask for a more effective sleeping medication, advice?

I've been taking clonazapam 1 mg - 2 mg for the last 8 months and I just don't find that it's working for me anymore. I'm guessing it's a tolerance, but recently my lack of sleep has been getting worse and worse and to the point where I'm laying in bed awake for 6+ hours and having horrible thoughts. Seeking help from doctor / foot specialist/ orthopedic specialist?

I was born with a form of club foot, with my right foot pointed severely outward due to being caught in my mother's breast bone. I am 18 and have been experiencing severe pain for two years. I tore my Achilles tendon on my right side in 2009. I was in a brace for 5 weeks to recover from that injury. I saw an orthopedic specialist who claimed my ankle/foot was not severe enough to perform surgery, but I am in severe pain whenever I stand for more than half an hour, or if I sit for an extended period of time and then put weight on my right leg. Is this due to the birth defect or from the injury in 2009 or a culmination? I take Tylenol for pain but it doesn't work well enough. At times the pain is so severe, like a throbbing ache, that it wakes me up. Any suggestions or opinions of what may be wrong with me?

i know it hurts but it is worth the pain. it will take off months if you wear them properly because the rubber bands act like another force to pull your teeth to the correct position( if you get the chance you should google how braces work its fascinating!) but the pain will go away but just make sure to take them out before eating otherwise they will snap in your mouth and can you say ouch? your orthodontist should have explained how long you would need them so don't be hesitant to ask next time when you are there.

Ive been smoking a pack of cheyenne cigars gradually over the past few weeks, i usually space it out to one every 3-4 days.

Why do people say weed isn't bad for you?

Im not going to say who, but someone i know got addicted to it. It caused the person to think certain things, and in the end it got the person depressed, and many other things. It wrecks peoples lives, and is addictive. If you think weed is a perfectly good thing, and doesn't cause any problems. Well im not sorry, you are a complete and utter DUMB ***. Its acctually called 'self-harm' and this is when a person with 'issues' get really depressed and resolves to harming one's self to either feel something or in an attempt to get less depressed. It gets addictive because the person thinks that it's working when it's really not becuase it's just the plusebo effect so they'll keep on doing it as they think its making them better. Wisdom teeth are coming in...Will they shift my other teeth?

So I have all four wisdom teeth under my gums, and they have never given me a problem until now. My top wisdom teeth are not impacted, but are trying to grow in with minimal space, though they do appear to be growing straight. I have had a dull ache for the past few days, and I am scheduled to have them removed in about 10 days. Will they shift my other teeth in the meantime? I went through many years of childhood with braces to acheive great teeth, and now I am afraid they will be ruined and I will not have the funds to correct it because I am in college.

I bought a used car from a little redneck dealership. By the time I noticed something was wrong with the car and took it to the shop it had been past the 30 day warranty by about two weeks. But it is obvious the car was sold to me with the problem. the mechanic says it might be missing a support brace that holds in the transmission in the driver's side, that and a few other minor repairs. He told me to call the place I got it from and see if they would help me, But it's past the warranty so I don't know if they would do anything. The dealership "took the car to get it inspected" before I drove off with it, but I feel like they would have noticed such an important part of the car missing. Can I argue this with them and get an extension or should I bother calling those crooks?

I'm 13 years old and I want to dye my hair a dark-ish brown. Right now I have hair that's sort of in-between light and medium brown hair with natural blonde highlights. My mom says that she, and i quote, "looks like a cheap hooker". I have no clue how my mom drew that conclusion but anyways, because of her I'm not allowed to dye my hair. I can get a streak in it, like a blue or purple streak, but most of my hair has to remain this color. I think that is 100% unfair and unreasonable. The reason I want to dye it is because she forced me to get braces, which I absolutely did not want (my teeth aren't even crooked). Besides, tons of kids at my school dye their hair and look great with it. It's just that the only kid she's seen with dyed hair does it terribly and doesn't take care of it. I don't know about a growth spurt within the next four months, but there are mostly likely going to be some changes within the next few years. I have had my braces off...?

for 2 yrs now and i wore my retainers for the length of time my orthodontist told me to. I wore my retainers day and night for 6 months, then transitioned to during the day, then at night, and then once a week for about a yr. After a yr my orthodontist told me i did not have to wear them anymore, but the gap in front of my two front teeth is opening. If I wear my retainers again will it close the gap or at least make it smaller? Also my wisdom teeth are coming in now, so will they effect my teeth dramatically?

Yes! Haha they do not tighten them when you fist get them so you can get use to the braces. He probably will tighten the top row when you get your bottom braces. If not, it'll be your next visit to see the orthodontist.

When I got my braces my dentist gave me a bag of stuff to help take care of them. Just a toothbrush and some mouthwash and floss and stuff. In that bag was a package of little dark blue tablets. On the package it said "disclosing tablets". What the heck are they for?

Alright, so I google'd this stuff because I am 17 and my top wisdom teeth have started growing. I found out that you don't need them removed if your mouse is big enough so that they don't bother your other teeth. I asked my mom about when you get them removed and she said that it is one of the most painful experiences ever because they have to cut your gums and then use a needle and thread to close it up. I currently have braces that will be coming off in a couple days and I want to know if it will reduce my chances of having to get my wisdom teeth removed because I had 4 teeth pulled in order to get my braces (1 from each side of my mouth).

My parents have been smoking since they were young, probabily since they were teenagers. I know back then people didnt know they were that bad for you so they got hooked on them. They are still addicted to them and my question is why do they smoke more when they get annoyed or stressed. I'm not stupid, I completely understand that the nicotine in them are addictive and thats why they won't quit and regardless of their mood, they smoke but when they get mad, annoyed, or stressed they seem to do it more. Why is that? Do cigarets just relax your body or something? I don't get it.
