I guess it really depends on ones gene pool. My mother has been smoking since she was 14 and now at 85, is as healthy as a horse. No cough, no lung problems, no associated diseases. She has always been a fresh air devotee, walking as much as possible and has never had a smoking related problem. She pays the equivalent of $9 for a pack of cigarettes, looks at the massive warning label on the front of the pack and comments on the government interfering.
